Responsibilities

Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, gaining insights into the strategic aspects of construction management
Collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
Learn to track project progress, update schedules, and report on milestones to ensure that projects are on track and meet deadlines
Gain exposure to project cost estimation, budget tracking, and cost analysis, ensuring that projects stay within financial parameters
Assist in managing project documentation, including contracts, blueprints, change orders, and other essential records
Participate in quality control processes, ensuring that work meets standards and specifications, and helping to identify and address potential issues
Engage in troubleshooting and finding solutions to challenges that arise during construction, contributing to the project's overall success
Learn about and promote safety protocols on-site, ensuring the well-being of all personnel and adherence to safety regulations
Work closely with diverse teams, gaining insights into effective communication and collaboration within the construction industry
Engage in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance your technical skills and industry knowledge

Required

Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Basic understanding of construction practices, processes, and terminology
Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software
Ability to analyze project plans, data, and specifications to support project execution
Clear verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
Strong organizational abilities to manage project documents, schedules, and progress tracking
Willingness to identify and address challenges that arise during project execution
Collaborative attitude, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams and contractors
Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines and deliverables
Openness to adapting to changing project conditions and requirements
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project documentation and reporting
Eagerness to learn and apply new concepts, technologies, and project management methods
