Part-Time Research Assistant - Shalev Lab
Penn State University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant for the Shalev Lab within the Department of Biobehavioral Health. The role involves supporting laboratory assays, processing samples, maintaining a participant database, and assisting with administrative laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities
Assist Dr. Shalev with laboratory assays and processing samples in multiple ongoing studies
Conduct inventory of lab supplies
Maintain participant database
Assist with other administrative laboratory procedures
Qualification
Required
At least one year of experience working in a wet-lab
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work with a team
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
Attention to detail
Preferred
Expertise in DNA and RNA extractions from multiple tissues
Expertise in qPCR analysis
Ideally knowledge in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R)
