Prepare and maintain sterile field
Support the surgical team through the surgical procedure
Assist the Registered Nurse, Anesthesia and Surgical team in developing a plan of care for each surgical procedure

Qualification

CST certificationSurgical Technologist experienceScrub experienceOrtho surgery experienceNeuro surgery experienceGeneral surgery experience

Required

6 month to 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist in any Operating room environment
CST certification is required; CST Certification through either National Center for Competency testing (NCCT) or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
Scrub experience
Experience in Ortho, Neuro, and general surgery
High School Diploma/GED required
Graduate from an approved Surgical Technologist program required
CST Certification must be through either National Center for Competency testing (NCCT) or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
CST certification can be obtained within 12 months of employment, however, must be maintained throughout employment

Preferred

6 months to 1 year relevant clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist in an OR environment preferred
