Responsibilities

Empower tech start-ups and scale-ups: Provide strategic, pragmatic advice to local and international innovators tackling complex legal challenges

Draft and review critical documents: From partnership agreements and terms of use to license agreements, privacy procedures, SLAs, and trademark registrations, your work will drive growth and innovation

Collaborate closely with clients: Help implement policies and negotiate agreements while finding creative solutions to disputes with customers, suppliers, and partners

Lead and inspire your team: Mentor a group of 10+ highly motivated heroes, with the goal of making your team even better than yourself—empowering them to thrive and grow

Leverage your network: Bring your connections with founders and investors to create opportunities and build lasting partnerships

Drive innovation in business development: Stay ahead of trends, market legal services, give workshops, publish thought leadership articles, and contribute to growing our impact in the Belgian tech ecosystem

Required

At least 8 years of experience as a lawyer, in-house legal counsel, or legal consultant

A Belgian master's degree in law

Strong technical legal knowledge

Leadership and management skills

Ability to mentor younger colleagues

Active contribution to business development

Ability to function exceptionally well in multidisciplinary teams

Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English

Preferred

An advanced master's degree in law

Deep knowledge of IP/IT law, data protection, AI regulations, medical device compliance, or competition law
