They are seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee construction projects, maintain client relations, and mentor junior staff while ensuring project execution is on time and within budget.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Act as the on-site liaison with the client and community
Maintain excellent client relations
Oversee staff that perform field inspections
Coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity
Mentor junior staff
Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
Provide design/technical expertise to project
Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
Generate additional sales through business development activities
Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings
Assist with project reports and technical presentations
Attend client, staff and project meetings
Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
Maintain a safe working environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience in Construction Management or Construction Inspection
7+ years of experience related to engineering or construction management
Self-motivated
Ability to work well with others
Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
Valid driver's license
Strong people and team building skills
Highly motivated, organized, and able to interpret technical data and perform technical writing
Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in networking within the consultant and client communities
Preferred
Intention to pursue or have obtained PE license and/or CCM certificate
