3+ years expPerfecto Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join their Medicaid Billing Department. This position will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting related to Medicaid services.

Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit Medicaid billing claims in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Monitor and reconcile payments, adjustments, and denials related to Medicaid claims
Research and resolve billing discrepancies or issues in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies
Assist with monthly account reconciliations and journal entries related to Medicaid revenue
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Maintain organized and accurate records for audits and compliance purposes
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Provide administrative and accounting support as needed within the Medicaid Billing Department
Qualification
Required
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
13 years of accounting or billing experience (Medicaid or healthcare billing experience strongly preferred)
Familiarity with Medicaid billing rules, regulations, and processes
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills for working with staff, agencies, and auditors
