Responsibilities

Architect and implement secure cloud solutions using Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, or other approved platforms

Lead cloud migration efforts, including application rehosting, refactoring, and modernization

Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks aligned with DoD, NIST, and FedRAMP standards

Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure integration and data flow

Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, tagging policies, and cost optimization strategies

Support RMF documentation, system accreditation, and compliance with DISA STIGs

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and support staff

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to support mission agility

Create and maintain architecture diagrams, deployment templates, and operational documentation

Report regularly to Knowesis and government stakeholders on cloud posture, risks, and performance

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in computer science, information systems, information technology, Engineering or related technical field

Minimum 8 years' IT experience with at least 5 years' experience focused on cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management

Minimum 3 years' experience managing hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services

Minimum 3 years' experience managing cloud infrastructure supporting 1,000+ users across multiple geographic locations

Minimum 2 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform

Minimum 2 years' experience with cloud migration projects to include virtual machine migration from on-premises to Azure, and technical expertise in Azure cloud services

Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
