Responsibilities
Partner with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and senior security leaders to develop, refine, and execute the Security organization's strategic plan. This includes translating long-term goals into actionable initiatives, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and tracking progress
Drive improvements in day-to-day operations by identifying and resolving process bottlenecks. Lead efforts to streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and enhance cross-functional collaboration
Oversee and manage a portfolio of high-impact programs and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. This includes defining project scope, managing timelines, and mitigating risks
Prepare and present executive-level communications, including presentations, reports, and memos for leadership and board-level audiences. Act as a central point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication across the organization
Foster strong relationships with leaders and teams across the company to ensure Security initiatives are well-supported and integrated
Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant professional experience in security, preferably with experience in a strategic role
Experience interfacing with software engineers to identify risks and to think strategically and translate high-level vision into tactical plans and actions
Experience assessing adherence to policies and developing mitigation and remediation plans when gaps exist
Understanding of security concepts and a broad range of security risks and controls
Exceptional leadership, influencing, and communication skills with the ability to build consensus and drive results without direct authority
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and projects from conception to completion
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
Experience in tech; however the need to actively code is not required for the role, just the ability to interface with Engineers and quickly establish credibility
