Special Educator EI/SEIS

Family of Kidz is hiring a Special Educator EI/SEIS to provide individualized lessons for students in a Preschool Program. The role involves developing multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals, maintaining communication with a multidisciplinary team, and attending IEP meetings.

Responsibilities

Work with students who are in a Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP)
Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IEP goals and report progress toward these goals
Collect meaningful information on IEP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP goals
Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily
Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development
Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals
Attend IEP meetings

Qualification

NYS Certification B-Grade 2ChildrenBilingualCommunication skillsTeam player

Required

NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification
Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families
Passionate about working with children and their families
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to collaborate with various professionals
Self-starter and independent problem solver
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Sterling values, high integrity, empathetic and considerate
Ability to function well in a high-paced and dynamic environment
Flexible thinker with the ability to pivot when necessary
Must be a team-player

Preferred

Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families
Bilingual
