Decom Manager, Data Center Operations

Responsibilities

Leading and supervising a Decom team of hourly employees within the ADC
Ensure overall safety and security is supported across multiple teams/shifts
Strategic planning, forecasting and resolution of problems; addressing any staffing needs
Mentoring, training and developing direct reports for career progression; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees
Write and deliver annual performance reviews to senior management
Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across all ADC regions
Work with other supporting functions and operational regions to develop performance KPI and metrics; drive throughput efficiencies by continuously improving operational processes

Required

High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
2+ years of experience hiring and managing performance of technicians to meet service level agreements
1+ years of experience working on IT hardware including repairs, assembly, manufacturing, installations or life cycle decommissioning
1+ years experience working with inventory management systems
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds each
Working in cramped and/or elevated locations
Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
Work in a noisy environment
Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years experience in a data center technology role and experience with physical data center infrastructure such as copper/fiber cabling
Experience developing operational metrics to drive efficiencies
Experience with LEAN tools and methodologies to lead process improvement and or cost reduction efforts
Experience working with teams to articulate and refine requirements to assist in the improvement of scanning, tracking, inventory, database software and tooling
