Responsibilities
Design magnetic components for power electronics (1–500 kHz range)
Develop with ferrite, Sendust, powdered iron, and other core materials
Perform simulations and modeling
Optimize designs for efficiency, thermal performance, and manufacturability
Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, and other safety and performance standards
Work with customers to understand requirements and translate into designs
Collaborate on prototyping and cross-functional design reviews
Produce and maintain BOMs, drawings, test plans, and spec sheets
Qualification
Required
3+ years of high frequency magnetic component design/engineering experience required
Experience designing transformers, inductors, and/or chokes for power electronics required
Hands-on prototyping or strong desire to apply theory in practice required
Proficiency with electromagnetic modeling and FEA tools required
Proficiency with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks) required
