Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Director of DC Operations who will play a crucial role in fostering a culture that aligns with the company’s values. Responsibilities

Take full ownership of their area, driving success by developing and guiding their team to achieve and exceed company goals
Achieving targeted operating goals, EBIT targets, driving continuous improvements, profit margins, and other key specific performance metrics that drive the business forward
Develop and contribute to the strategic vision both for the growth and scale of the operation as well as the development of our leadership as we scale our internal and external growth
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure accountability within their team
Conduct one-on-one meetings with management teams on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, promoting productivity and alignment with department and company objectives
Hold weekly conference calls with their direct reports (as well as targeted skip levels) to maintain consistency in messaging and goal execution
Build strong relationships with team members, peers, and leadership to ensure clear and accurate communication
Create a Customer First Culture, driving operational excellence while enhancing profitability, maintaining Bob’s values and commitment to excellence, and developing the leaders of the future
Motivate Others and Self Inspire teams to achieve operational excellence through strong leadership
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Communicate Effectively and Efficiently Maintain clear and open communication with cross-functional teams and vendors
Analyze Complex Problems Identify root causes of supply chain inefficiencies and develop corrective actions
Utilize data analytics tools to assess performance metrics and drive improvements
Evaluate potential temp labor and negotiate contracts to mitigate risk
Make data-driven decisions to optimize supply chain operations
Mediate disputes between logistics teams and employees
Foster a collaborative work environment to align competing priorities
Oversee large-scale projects, such as supply chain restructuring or system implementations
Implement technology solutions to enhance supply chain operations
Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Align supply chain objectives with Net Promoter Score (NPS) to improve customer experience
Work closely with customer service teams to address supply chain-related concerns
Drive improvements that enhance the overall customer experience
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost efficiency
Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team
Continuously measure and optimize performance for sustained success
Develop training programs to enhance employee skill sets
Monitor team and individual performance, addressing gaps proactively
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations
Monitor progress and provide guidance to ensure successful outcomes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations leadership with demonstrated success in achieving financial and operational goals
5+ years' Experience managing and developing teams
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, WMS (Red Prairie and SAP a plus), customer service experience, bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Ability to Motivate Others and Self Inspire teams to achieve operational excellence through strong leadership
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Communicate Effectively and Efficiently Maintain clear and open communication with cross-functional teams and vendors
