Responsibilities

Collaborate with our forward deploy team to understand how customers interact with Automat’s platform today, and use those learnings to bolster our flagship workflow management product
Build interfaces that use cutting-edge computer use models in real world applications
Develop beautiful and intuitive UX interfaces which abstract away complex business automation processes and create a seamless experience for non-technical users and engineers alike
Influence our engineering practices, shape product direction, and contribute to building a world class company culture

Qualification

Required

Proficiency in Python and Typescript
Experience building with modern web frameworks (Next.js, Svelte kit, React) and extensive experience working with REST APIs
Robust background building complex architectures from the ground up, ranging from hacked together prototypes to scalable enterprise solutions
Experience using AI tools effectively (e.g. Cursor, Windsurf, lovable, etc.)
Top notch communication and collaboration skills
Comfort navigating ambiguity and wearing multiple hats
Passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences
Proactive mindset and high initiative, with a bias toward action
An intrinsic desire to leave things better than you found them
Experience as an IC in startups or other dynamic, high-growth setting
