Responsibilities
Develop hydraulic models of water distribution systems
Lead preparation of water system master plans
Evaluation and design of potable water facilities
Manage water distribution system study and design projects
Leading a team of project engineers and technical support staff
Permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies
Performing quality control reviews of water models, reports, and/or design
Preparation of plans and specifications for construction
Represent Baxter & Woodman at municipal meetings
Preparation of competitive proposals and participation in interviews
Develop business in the Chicagoland area
Qualification
Required
4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
Illinois P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity)
6+ years of experience in potable water system analysis and design
Expertise in potable water hydraulic modeling, including master planning
Expertise with WaterGEMs and InfoWater Pro, plus ArcGIS
Knowledge of basic principles of water system design and plan preparation
Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction
Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's Illinois service areas (own transportation) and attend client and in office meetings as required
Excellent technical writing skills
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills
