Responsibilities

Collaborate with a talented engineering team to solve design challenges and produce construction plans for local infrastructure projects

Use design software and drafting tools to accurately display and visually communicate calculations, and design layouts, and concepts in order to create construction plans to build infrastructure improvements

Drafts reports and present plans to audiences with a wide range of backgrounds and technical knowledge, translating engineering and scientific information into easily digestible concepts

Estimates construction costs and quantities, perform site visits, and review contractor submittals

Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeFE Exam PassedCAD Software ProficiencyLocal Infrastructure ExperienceMicrosoft Office ProficiencyCommunication SkillsDetail-OrientedProblem SolvingTeam Collaboration

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

0-3 years of experience in Local Infrastructure/Public Works or Land Development

Passed the FE exam or able to pass within 6 months of hire

Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools

Knowledge of the materials, methods, and equipment involved in the construction or repair of civil engineering related improvements

Able to balance multiple and frequently conflicting objectives and make good decisions

Technical experience in computer-assisted design (CAD), AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design, modeling, data recording, and analyzation related software

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Extremely detail-oriented and accurate

Preferred

Background in Local Infrastructure/Public Works and/or Land Development is a plus
