Assistant Professor - Biomedical Engineering

Contribute to teaching, research, and service activities within the Department, College, and University

Support pedagogy within the multi-disciplinary graduate research programs in the Cullen College of Engineering

Required

Earned Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related field
Expertise in the broad area of Biophotonics, Mechanobiology, and Artificial Intelligence
Notable experience in biomedical optics imaging techniques, such as optical coherence tomography and its functional extensions
Experience in cellular or tissue biomechanics
Designing, building, and programming multimodal optical imaging systems
Experience in artificial intelligence for tissue health classification
Integrating data from multimodal imaging
Strong publication record
Teaching experience
Strong mentorship record
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong record of technical presentations
Experience with internal and external funding applications
