Start in 2026 SummerThe American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) offers a unique internship program for undergraduates interested in economic research, academia, or the private sector. Interns will develop a self-directed research project, engage in a robust curriculum, and participate in workshops to hone their academic and research skills.
Responsibilities
Develop a self-directed research project related to AIER’s mission
Communicate research results to the general public
Participate in seminar-style discussions led by AIER researchers
Learn and practice academic and popular writing through workshops
Gain skills in various research methods and econometrics

Housing is provided in the AIER manor or cottages right on campus, close to the beautiful town of Great Barrington.
