Business Development Manager (Central Asia)

CPM is a successful organization in a niche market, specializing in the development and production of machinery for the biomass industry, animal feed, alternative fuels, and oilseed. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to expand their geographical footprint in Central Asia by identifying growth opportunities, developing market entry strategies, and building relationships with partners and customers.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate growth opportunities in new geographic regions within Central Asia across animal feed, alternative fuels, and oilseed sectors
Develop and implement regional market entry strategies, including partner selection, go-to-market models, and pricing frameworks
Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, customers, and regulatory stakeholders in target regions
Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to adapt value propositions to local needs and regulatory environments
Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation to closing, in coordination with regional support teams
Deliver market intelligence, including competitor landscape, customer insights, and trends to inform business strategy
Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to build regional presence
Track KPIs and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and regional performance
Develop and implement after-market strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
Identify opportunities for after-market sales, including spare parts, maintenance services, and upgrades
Collaborate with the customer service and technical support teams to ensure seamless after-market service delivery
Monitor and analyze after-market performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their after-market needs and provide tailored solutions

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Agribusiness, Engineering, or related field
5+ years' experience in international B2B business development or regional sales, preferably in one or more of the target industries
Experience with in one of the market segments
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in global agricultural or energy sectors
Native in Russian and fluent in English
Based in Central Asia
Proven success in regional expansion or market penetration initiatives
Strong cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills
Willingness to travel frequently [>50%]
