Quality Assurance & Control Architect (AEC)

They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Control Architect to ensure that architectural design, documentation, and construction activities meet quality standards and client expectations through thorough review and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement QA/QC policies, procedures, and checklists for architectural projects
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with codes and standards
Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction works align with approved drawings and specifications
Identify and document non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction quality issues
Ensure that materials and workmanship meet required standards through inspections and testing coordination
Maintain records of quality reports, inspection results, and compliance documentation
Assist in project closeout by reviewing as-built drawings, warranties, and final quality documentation
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on design processes and construction practices
Train and mentor project team members on QA/QC standards and best practices

Required

Professional Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university (Master's preferred)
Licensed Architect
7-10 years minimum experience in architecture, construction, or quality management
Experience in various project types
Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices
Experience with QA/QC processes in design and construction projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other design/documentation tools
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
Ability to represent the firm professionally to the client and community
Proactive, collaborative, and professional work ethic in a multi-disciplinary environment
