Technical Support Engineer – Cloud Broadcast Systems

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is a leading global broadcast production company providing managed services to major broadcast networks, corporations, and studios. They are seeking a Technical Support Engineer – Cloud Broadcast Systems to deploy, operate, and support cloud and hybrid broadcast environments, ensuring reliable operation during setup, live events, and post-event support.

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure broadcast environments across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise infrastructures
Support technical operations for media asset management, playout automation, and master control workflows
Provide hands-on technical assistance during system setup, live productions, and after-broadcast troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to servers, networking, storage, and integrations
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliable performance and system scalability
Support integrations with broadcast tools, OTT platforms, and VOD systems
Document workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
Train and assist clients and internal teams on technical operations
Monitor system health and contribute to continuous improvements in reliability and efficiency

Required

3–5 years of technical experience in broadcast, OTT, VOD, or related environments
Strong understanding of Media Asset Management, playout, and master control operations
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or hybrid deployments)
Hands-on experience with live streaming protocols (SRT, RIST, NDI, SMPTE 2110, SDI)
Ability to troubleshoot video/audio systems and integrations with third-party platforms
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective communicator, able to work across technical and client-facing teams
Flexible schedule to support live event operations outside regular hours

Preferred

Experience with Grass Valley AMPP® or similar cloud-native broadcast platforms
