Global Ground Segment Service Manager

As a Global Ground Segment Service Manager, you will lead technical programs related to ground operations and manage relationships with teleport operators while overseeing the procurement and installation of large antenna systems.

Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end technical programs related to ground operations, including the procurement, installation, and maintenance of large antenna systems
Manage the procurement process for large antenna systems and related components, working closely with the supply chain to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance
Collaborate with supply chain teams to understand the requirements and specifications of antenna systems, ensuring clear communication and efficient procurement processes
Oversee the installation of gateways and associated equipment, ensuring a seamless and reliable internet experience for our operations
Cultivate and maintain relationships with teleport operators, equipment vendors, and industry experts to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices
Identify potential risks and challenges in large antenna projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution
Work with our Program Management team to produce and track the schedules of work that reflect and track the delivery of complex ground operations products
Use methods and metrics for assessing the schedule, technical, and quality performance of the work, and risks of the program
Develop cost-based proposals for Senior Management
Draft corporate communication and detailed processes and procedures as required
Qualification
Required
5-7+ years of experience in technical program management, particularly in large antenna systems and ground operations
Strong background in supply chain management, with the ability to understand and communicate technical requirements effectively
Proven experience in coordinating complex projects from inception to completion
Familiarity with Gantt charts and project management software
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel 15-20% of the time
Comfortable with amorphous tasks and working outside of a highly defined role and job description to accomplish project objectives
Desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
Preferred
Experience in the satellite communication industry or related fields is a plus
