Business Development Representative (SaaS Sales)

Sourgum is transforming the waste and recycling industry through innovative technology, aiming to make waste removal simpler and more cost-effective. They are seeking a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the first point of contact with potential customers and play a key role in building the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels
Qualify inbound leads and nurture them through the early stages of the sales cycle
Clearly articulate the value of our SaaS product and how it addresses customer pain points
Research and identify target accounts, decision-makers, and business opportunities within our ICP
Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Marketing to optimize pipeline growth
Maintain accurate data in our CRM (e.g., HubSpot) and provide regular pipeline updates
Consistently meet or exceed weekly/monthly activity metrics (calls, emails, demos booked, etc.)

Required

1–2+ years of SDR/BDR experience in a SaaS environment (required)
Proven success hitting or exceeding outbound prospecting and meeting-setting targets
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Experience using sales tools such as HubSpot
Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities
Growth mindset, self-motivated, and eager to learn
