Responsibilities

Support hardware architecture design, including component sizing and selection, in contributing to development and/or validation of complex mechatronic systems (e.g., selection of mirco-processors, sensors, actuators, DAQ devices, signal processing circuits for HiL test environments)
Perform data analysis in supporting system characterization/modeling, continuous improvement efforts, calibration, triage and validation activities
Develop (i.e., architect, design, implement, validate, and parameterize) algorithms to enable intended system function in coordination with stakeholder and application requirements
Interfacing teams – effectively communicate with these cross functional teams in order to effectively complete assigned tasks
Need to be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction
S/he will be given developmental opportunities through tasks such as projects, job-rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's technological processes

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
Assertive approach to solving problems
Ability to prioritize
The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move thirty pounds

Preferred

SAE collegiate competition team (Formula, Baja, etc.) preferred
3D CAD modeling and software preferred
Mechanical hobbyist preferred
