They are seeking a part-time Telephone Switchboard Operator who will operate the switchboard, respond to calls, and perform general clerical duties including faxing, copying, and documenting information.

Responsibilities
Hospital telephone directory, paging vendor program, emergency notification system
Update telephone directory as necessary in order to maintain a complete and accurate listing
Operates and maintains communication equipment correctly. Understand and utilizes system logs accurately
Provide immediate response to and processes emergency calls promptly. Monitor alarms for hospital and transmitters
Distribute Batteries
Document co-workers call outs
Adheres to departmental and Hospital guidelines concerning safety, rules of conduct etc
Qualification
Required
High Diploma/GED required
Knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) type 35 WPM, customer service and business etiquette required
Knowledge of Nortel and Cisco phone console along with the ability to handle, swap and activate paging vendors is necessary
Use of fax machine, scanners, copy machines and personal computers with automated operators functions
Knowledge of paging vendor program, emergency notification program, hospital telecom directory along with extensive use of Microsoft outlook is required
