The Controls Engineering Intern will assist in designing discipline-specific systems, produce control documents, support client relations, and coordinate with other disciplines while gaining hands-on experience in both design and onsite implementation.

Responsibilities
Assist in designing discipline-specific systems per code and IMEG standards
Produce control documents, including IO lists, connection schedules, loop drawings, and schematics
Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and prepare permanent record documentation
Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines and suppliers
Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while tracking progress
Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final checks
Prepare and issue addendum information
Conduct job site observations and perform services per contract requirements
Qualification
Required
Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
Strong interest in design consulting
Previous exposure to AutoCAD Electrical software
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Preferred
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
