As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies while serving as a liaison between various departments to ensure program requirements are met.

Responsibilities
Will be able to effectively partner with engineering to develop accurate Bill of Materials (BOM’s), control changes in the BOM during the proposal process and promptly flow any changes to material pricing and develop a strategy to get representative costs
Develop and execute material program plans together with the purchasing team and program managers
Develop and maintain risk & opportunity plans to meet program objectives
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Work closely with suppliers to ensure scheduled delivery
Conduct periodic source inspections
Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Audit suppliers as needed
Qualification
Required
Degree in engineering
Able to travel up to 60% of your time. (70% local suppliers)
Familiar with machined parts
Familiar with various types of metals and ceramics
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Experience
ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D awareness
U.S. citizen or lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder) or a refugee or an individual granted asylum in the U.S or eligible to receive the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce
