Chief Engineer
UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Chief Engineer for the operation and maintenance of a 120' Missile Retriever and other small craft in support of the 53rd Weapons Group. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining propulsion equipment, conducting maintenance, and ensuring effective maritime operations.

Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the 120' Missile Retriever main engines and propulsion equipment in direct support of the 82 ATRS missions which range from harbor operations to open ocean operations within 200nm of the Panama City Sea Buoy
Conduct, assist and supervise the preventative, corrective, predictive maintenance and repairs or modifications to suit mission requirements
Shall have extensive experience, knowledge, and confident skills as a vessel engineer and be able to plan work packages for planned maintenance availabilities, shipyard periods and urgent repairs
Proficient at following instructions for planned maritime operations and understanding military communications
Qualification
Required
Minimum of three (3) years experience operating and maintaining diesel propulsion systems, and be a USCG Licensed Engineer on main propulsion machinery under 4,000kW
Must provide a certificate of competency that complies with STCW Reg III/3: NVIC 16-14 Guidelines on Qualification for STCW Endorsements as Chief Engineer Officer and Second Engineer Officer on Ships Powered by Main Propulsion Machinery of 6400HP
Must be able to pass pre-employment and routine drug screening as required by Maritime Consortium
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
