They are seeking a Quality Intern to ensure parts are manufactured to specifications and provide problem-solving support, working under the mentorship of the Quality department and collaborating with engineers and inspection technicians.

Responsibilities
First article, in process, and final inspection of parts using a variety of metrology equipment
Working with manufacturing, engineering, customer, and/or supplier personnel in problem solving efforts
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
Measurement methods
Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
First article, in process, and final inspection of parts using a variety of metrology equipment
Working with manufacturing, engineering, customer, and/or supplier personnel in problem solving efforts
Understanding of interpretation of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Basic understanding of measuring instruments used for inspections
General knowledge of common manufacturing processes to produce parts, such as machining, metal fabrication, welding, heat treating, etc
Technical writing skills for reports and specifications using MS Word and Excel
Good platform skills using PowerPoint for presentations
BS or MS candidate in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Preferred
Familiarity with manipulating 3D models to be used in 3D metrology measuring software packages
Ability to interpret measurement findings to provide feedback to manufacturing with the goal of improving part quality
