Probity Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator to join their DBA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle 19c databases, ensuring efficient data management and system performance.

Responsibilities

Participating and leading in the design, development, and administration of Oracle 19c databases

Designing and developing database code for ETL of data from multiple sources

Conducting performance tuning and forecasting system scalability

Recommending appropriate procedure, query, or package changes and optimizations to ensure and improve system performance and reliability

Installing and configuring database environments

Performing database backups and restores

Managing, monitoring, and administering of Oracle database systems

Participating in server and storage capacity management and planning

Providing technical support in the evaluation of database systems and database design

Recommending and implementing approved process and tool improvements

ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph

Significant experience with Oracle 19c+ architecture and database design, and related Oracle technologies (Partitioning, Encryption, Pluggable Database, etc.) on Linux systems

Significant Oracle Exadata experience

Significant PL/SQL developer experience

Significant Oracle Label Security (OLS) experience

Significant experience and knowledge in methodologies to improve database query performance

Ability to work with multiple teams to enhance their code and improve performance

Significant experience in the optimization of database environments

Strong understanding of high-availability solutions and architecture

Strong understanding of backup methodologies and their implementation (RMAN, Data Guard)

Experience managing and tuning very large databases (terabytes and petabytes)

Strong documentation skills

Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy
