Teaching 24 contact hours per year
Development of curriculum and assessment tools
Service to the College and community including academic advising and involvement in College and departmental committees and activities
Qualification
Required
M.S. in Civil Engineering or closely related field required
Outstanding teaching skills
Ability to teach 12 credit hours of regularly scheduled classes per semester
Passion for undergraduate engineering education
Assist in program development (course and curriculum development and program assessment)
Mentor engineering students, especially during their capstone design projects
Develop and foster relationships with industry
Recruit and advise students
Teaching 24 contact hours per year
Development of curriculum and assessment tools
Service to the College and community including academic advising and involvement in College and departmental committees and activities
Preferred
Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related field is preferred
Ability to teach across the undergraduate civil engineering curriculum preferred with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering or structural engineering
Professional licensure preferred or ability to obtain within one year
Strong leadership skills
Desire to integrate fully in a critical thinking college
