Universal Language Service, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (Vietnamese) to join their team. This dual-role position combines real-time over-the-phone and video remote interpretation services with administrative responsibilities, focusing on delivering accurate and timely language support.

Responsibilities

Deliver real-time OPI/VRI interpretation services in Vietnamese and English
Assist interpreters with completing and updating profiles and documentation
Follow up with interpreters to ensure records are current and compliant
Maintain clear and professional communication with interpreters and internal teams
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and accuracy
Coordinate interpreter assignments, efficiently manage schedules, and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of client requests
Maintain interpreter account records, updating information related to assignments, availability, and billing accurately
Proactively troubleshoot scheduling issues, providing timely and effective solutions

Required

Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Vietnamese
Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage administrative documentation
Ability to work full-time, on-site (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM PST)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, interpretation, or translation
Candidates must pass a full-panel drug and alcohol screening and a national criminal background check

Preferred

Prior interpretation experience preferred
Medical DSHS or national interpreter certification/qualification (e.g. NBCMI, CCHI, Other) is a plus (support provided for those seeking DSHS Medical recognition)
Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
