Responsibilities
Design and analyze a variety of structures, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and retaining walls
Develop solutions for the maintenance, repair, or replacement of existing structures
Develop design reports in accordance with PennDOT Bridge design standards
Perform National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) bridge inspections to evaluate the condition and safety of infrastructure
Prepare NBIS bridge inspection reports
Work alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other Staff Engineers to deliver high-quality results
Support the preparation of project deliverables, including manuals, specifications, and documentation
Uphold company policies, quality control standards, and best practices throughout all phases of project execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation/Structures emphasis or related degree
EIT or PE licensure (or ability to secure through reciprocity within 6 months)
3+ years of experience in bridge design
Knowledge of PENNDOT design standards and procedures
Working familiarity of Microstation
Team player with strong skills in communication, planning, and organization
Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc
Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
Valid US Driver's License is required
Legal authorization to work in the U.S
Preferred
NBIS bridge inspection certification is preferred
