Licensed Surveyor

Triad Engineering, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that provides geotechnical and civil engineering, environmental services, land surveying, construction testing and monitoring services to a wide range of clients. They are seeking a Licensed Surveyor who will supervise field crews, assist with scheduling and client contact, and engage in business development activities.

Responsibilities

Carry out assignments and verbal instructions from Survey Practice leader with little to no daily supervision
Daily supervision of field crews, including Survey Crew Chief and Survey Technicians
Assist with scheduling and coordination of field survey work
Assist with client contact and client retention
Business Development with new and existing clients including up-selling and cross-selling other Triad services
Frequent and ongoing contact with contractors and professional office staff
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of survey vehicles and equipment
Prepare field work budget
Strive to make each project profitable
Required to adhere to Company and other required safety practices

Required

Professional Surveyors License Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Post-secondary technical training in surveying, including two-year associate degree or technology degree is desirable
Four to Six years of work experience with progressing responsibility and oversight for office activities including coordination, calculations, estimating, etc
Must be able to read, write, perform basic math, and be comfortable communicating with the public
Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 80 pounds
Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
Work is performed in all weather conditions, and often involves extensive standing, walking and/or brush clearing
Sites may include busy streets, construction sites, manholes and/or difficult terrain or slopes
