Intern - Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (Spring)
The State of South Dakota is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern for the Spring session. The intern will assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining community-based employment, working closely with a certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to conduct intakes, determine eligibility, develop employment plans, and manage a caseload.

Work with applicants and consumers of the State/Federal Vocational Rehabilitation Program
Conduct intakes of applicants
Determine eligibility for VR
Develop employment plans for eligible consumers
Provide overall case management of a caseload
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Completion or enrollment in master's degree level courses in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or related Counseling Degree is expected for this internship
