Responsibilities
Investigating and applying evolutionary and revolutionary technologies for the advancement of network architecture, development of security and management enablers, and establishment of an associated test environment
Coordinating cryptographic certification activities with the designated space responsible office, ensuring solutions that obtain timely certification
Reviewing Systems Key Management Plans (SKMP) and Key Generation Management Plans and Procedures (KGMPP)
Evaluating / maximizing use of Commercial Off-The Shelf crypto-enabled products
Supporting senior leadership in technical discussions and evaluations
Providing liaison support and promoting communication between the customer and external program offices and agencies in the form of meetings and conferences
Developing and supporting briefing opportunities of interest for technology sponsors/mission partners
Resolving programmatic and technical equipment issues involving customer programs, the IC community, and the military services
Providing cryptographic risk assessment support for satellite programs to the designated approving official and/or Chief Information Security Officer
Providing cyber security advice and assistance for Space and Terrestrial acquisition, and for operational components' plans for the design, development, manufacture, acquisition, lease, launch, life-cycle support or operation of any DoD Space system
Requirements development for current and future high assurance cryptographic solutions
Facilitate the staffing of crypto design documentation
Track the work of other contracts related to requirements, issues, and schedules
Deliver programmatic expertise as required
Deliver cryptographic risk assessment support to programs
Deliver implementation and integration support for key management systems
Advise customer on crypto acquisition strategies
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph
5+ years' experience with Crypto engineering / COMSEC
Preferred
Military / DOD / IC space and ground experience
BS in engineering or related field
