Systems Engineer
Intrepid, an SPA Company, brings over 20 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense and U.S. Government. They are seeking a Systems Engineer to track platform requirements, identify aviation capability gaps, and develop modeling and simulation capabilities to support the Future Vertical Lift ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Outline and track aircraft capability changes while maintaining requirement traceability of end-user needs to the weapon system performance specification and delivered mission capability
Identify, document, and evaluate aircraft design alternatives and function allocation of performance requirements associated with Launched Effects (LE), mission payloads, autonomous teaming capabilities, and platform configurations associated with holistic aircraft survivability while operating within an A2/AD environment
Translate high-level FVL platform requirements – objectives, goals, and mission Use Cases into design and development low-level requirements
Develop and document LE functional capability blocks starting with the most foundational tasks through an operational Concept of Operations
Develop and archive digital thread artifacts that implement a Model Based System Engineering aviation architecture and enterprise
Coordinate modeling, simulation, and results analysis activities with an emphasis on developing new code and automated simulation processes
Implement and execute a wide variety of engineering and campaign modeling/analysis tools to automate input and output processes across multiple models and simulations that create an integrated high-fidelity modeling architecture
Plan and execute modeling and simulation systems development projects
Coordinate analysis applying engineering processes and modeling techniques to the development of weapon systems
Facilitate trade-off studies related to operational issues and review plans for system integration, operation, and maintenance of the high-fidelity modeling environment
Support efforts to develop and update tools for analysis of complex, technical problems relating to aircraft survivability and threat systems
Work with subject matter experts and aviation customers to explore mission Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and architectures to solve some of the hardest intelligence problems facing the nation
Qualification
Required
BA or BS degree in a related field
3+ years of experience
Reports to Redstone Arsenal, AL, full-time
Experience with performing modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks
Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) experience
Experience assessing system survivability, system effectiveness, and overall system performance in engagement and mission-level scenarios, threat models, and command and control, and communication models for new and existing system simulation frameworks
An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI, and maintain it throughout employment
Preferred
Ability to conduct analysis and develop briefings, documents, and required results documentation
