Dewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Landscape Architect Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Site/Civil department in Lanham, MD. The intern will work on various projects for commercial and government clients, focusing on site/civil design and developing detailed design documents for construction plans.

Responsibilities

Site/civil development including grading design

Prepare detailed landscape and hardscape plans

Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential

Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications

Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans

May also conduct code research and write specifications

Required

Pursuing degree in Landscape Architecture required

Previous internship experience desired

Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills

Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required

Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView and Power Point

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment
