TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology solutions, specializing in printed circuit boards. The Process Engineer – SMT Programmer will provide technical support and define methodologies for efficient PCB assembly manufacturing while managing engineering projects aimed at process improvement and profitability.
Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Responsible for direct technical support & defining the methodology by which printed circuit boards assemblies are manufactured efficiently and consistently in order to meet customer quality requirements
Applies common engineering principles to identify and quantify improvement opportunities for product design and process methodology, and will consider all aspects of the manufacturing process including manpower, methods, materials, machines, measurements, and the work environment
Analyzes yield and statistical process control data and provides corrective actions for issues that negatively impact the performance of the division
Prepares project plans and manages/executes the completion of those plans in a time-critical fashion
Manages and executes engineering project assignments relative to process capacity, process capability, cost reduction, process efficiency, technology advancement and customer support, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring the profitability of the division by these means
Programming implementation and initial setup of production equipment
Use of offline programming software to develop work instructions and machine programs including but not limited to: stencil design, solder paste inspection, surface mount pick and place, selective solder, wave solder, and AOI
Responsible for set up and maintenance of component package library
Carries out cost-effective design, installation, method of transfer, monitoring, and modification of manufacturing processes
Analyzes yield and statistical process control data and provides corrective actions
Prepares project plans, manages/executes completion in time-critical manner
Establishes and maintains systems for determining whether a product, as designed, can be manufactured
Immediate technical support to production staff: + Provide Real-time “tweaks" to production processes + Feedback to & coordination of issues & updates w/ Managers, Engineers and Supervisors
Provide technical support for SPC feedback and error proofing production processes
Perform and document 8D root cause / corrective action investigations
Ensure production department(s) are in compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
