We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our Trucking team in Charleston, SC, where you will support Trial Attorneys and manage your own cases in litigation, gaining valuable experience in a lucrative practice area.
Legal
Responsibilities
Day-to-day handling of mostly trucking litigation cases
Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
Guide clients through the case process
Maintain client relationships
Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
Work closely with Litigation Paralegals and Case Managers
Qualification
Required
Law degree from a fully accredited law school
An active member in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar Association
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong interest in Personal Injury Law, Trial work
Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
Preferred
1+ years of Litigation experience
Trucking Accident experience a plus but not required
