MRI Technologist I

Responsibilities
Utilize all MRI resources to perform high quality MRI examinations on entire patient population (pre-teen through geriatrics) for interpretation by a physician
Perform clinical MRI and MR Angiography testing, including general studies, breast studies, and the computer interactions related with these studies
Qualification
Required
Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology
One year of radiologic experience
0-2 years of modality specific experience required
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
Must be familiar with age specific criteria
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training
ARRT MRI registration required within one year
Preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
