Responsibilities
Own full-cycle new business: prospecting, discovery, business case, pilots/POCs, MSAs/SOWs, and close
Convert pilots to production: structure success criteria, quantify value (capacity gains, risk reduction), and drive executive buy-in
Navigate utility procurement: RFPs/RFIs, sole-source justifications, standards committees, InfoSec, legal/insurance
Build and focus our sales playbook: ICP refinement, messaging, qualification, pricing/packaging feedback
Coordinate internally: translate needs to Engineering and Ops; forecast accurately in CRM; contribute to product roadmap signals
Leverage channels: develop and manage partners (OEMs, EPCs, integrators, reps) to extend reach
Represent Pitch at conferences and customer onsite demos
Qualification
Required
Based in the U.S
5–10+ years enterprise sales or BD selling to electric utilities (IOU/muni/co-op)
Proven success moving from pilot to production and securing MSAs and multi-year rollouts
Comfortable leading multi-stakeholder cycles (T&D Ops, Planning, Standards, Procurement, IT/Security)
Fluent with RFP/RFI processes, contracting, and risk/compliance discussions
Strong technical acumen; you can explain sensors, analytics, and DLR/wildfire risk concepts to both engineers and executives
Strong communication with quality writing and presence
Preferred
Based in the Mountain West or Pacific Northwest
Proven experience growing business with transmission planning, transmission operations, meteorology, and/or wildfire risk departments
Existing relationships at top North American utilities
Background in EE/ME, meteorology, power systems, or grid modernization programs
Experience with selling software and hardware products to electric utilities
