Responsibilities
Lead and support energy-related projects including Energy Roadmaps, Energy Audits and Assessments, Carbon Studies, and Retro-Commissioning
Assist Business Development Manager with customer relationships and business development in energy, sustainability, and resiliency markets
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for energy reduction and decarbonization efforts
Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors to execute energy projects
Lead meetings and create presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Stay current on energy regulations and technologies, applying innovative solutions to meet compliance and performance goals
Track project performance and provide regular updates to clients and senior management
Support Hanson Project Managers with schedule, budget, billing, and earned value processes
Support Hanson Discipline Manager with the supervision and empowerment technical personnel to meet HR standards, foster resource redundancy, and ensure consistent performance
Conduct training sessions and workshops on energy management strategies
Author technical articles or present at industry conferences
Other duties as assigned

Qualification
Required
Strong client engagement capabilities
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple energy projects simultaneously
Excellent planning, organizing, analysis, and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
Proficiency in energy modeling, cost savings calculations, and utility/government rebate programs
Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), including GUIs and programming logic
Understanding of energy transition technologies such as wind, solar, and microgrids
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Discretion with sensitive and confidential information
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering focused on energy demand reduction, sustainability, or decarbonization
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months
Preferred
Supervisory experience with technical personnel and project teams
Experience in program or project management focused on energy demand reduction, sustainability, or decarbonization
Experience with earned value methodology and project financial tracking
Preferred certifications include Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Energy Management Professional (EMP), or other relevant certification
