Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of mobile and full stack engineers, creating clear career paths and development opportunities
Partner with technical leads on iOS, Android, and backend to define and execute the team’s architectural roadmap for the team
Oversee development of core product experiences, including onboarding automation, user sessions, login mechanisms, push notifications, menu optimization, guest checkout, and reorder experiences
Work closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful, user-first solutions
Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring
Contribute to the broader Storefront strategy by ensuring that mobile apps align with long-term business goals and merchant/customer needs
Oversee the hiring process for your team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team
Qualification
Required
BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend, web, & mobile) of 8+ engineers
8+ years of industry experience
Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment
Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition
Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback
