Responsibilities

Oversee and guide team metrics and goals. Work with the TPMs who set the goals to ensure strong leading and lagging indicators, and hold them accountable for their impact in their area of responsibility
Discover and understand the connections between Jobber’s day-to-day work, the overall product vision, technical strategy and scaling, and customers’ (internal and/or external) needs. With those inputs, you can prioritize building what matters to achieve product and company goals and initiatives
Build relationships across the organization to keep work moving and help unblock your team when needed
Balance coaching, feedback, and mentorship to help your team grow in their craft and achieve their career goals
Hold your team members accountable for delivering high-quality roadmaps on time, and help them connect cross-team internal roadmaps and Jobber’s long-term technical strategy
Foster collaboration by partnering with respective leadership teams and stakeholders across the focus areas of your team members. Support large-scale initiatives that have an impact across Jobber

Required

Proven leadership experience: You have managed a team of TPMs (Program, Project or Product) or equivalent in an always-changing and high-growth environment. Ability to provide feedback, guidance, and direction based on business and user goals
Hands-on TPM Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Project Manager for internal engineering teams
A strong technical background that enables you to have effective collaboration with engineering teams
Experience in SAAS businesses and an understanding of the key metrics that lead to business success
Next level communication skills, with clear and effective written and verbal communication that conveys both the voice of the customer and business needs
A data-driven mindset, using data to define problems, measure impact, and contextualize work through tools, systems, and processes
A collaborative approach and the desire to build strong partnerships across teams and departments to deliver high-quality features quickly
Execution excellence and ownership, with proven ability to deliver projects to completion all while managing multiple priorities with a high attention to detail
A close relationship to technology and the ability to communicate business requirements to a technical audience

Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following areas: AWS infrastructure, Developer Acceleration, Core stack development (Ruby/Rails ideal), Data and streaming technologies (ex postgres, data streaming, event driven architectures)
Past experience as a software developer and/or infrastructure/sysadmin earlier in your career
