Responsibilities

Provide enterprise-level expertise across assigned applications and technical areas
Lead the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of critical application systems
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues to ensure optimal performance
Respond to customer-reported issues promptly and effectively
Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation
Navigate complex, highly integrated systems with strong problem-solving skills
Understand the business and technical requirements of your applications and how they interact with other systems
Engage in all phases of SDLC and project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, testing, release deployment, and implementation coordination
Create and maintain thorough technical documentation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience
Lead: Ten (10) years of applicable experience in Information Technology Development and/or Support related roles or a combination of technical experience and leadership experience
Senior: Six (6) years of applicable Information Technology application administration and support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience or a combination of technical experience and leadership experience
Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, UNIX or Linux operating systems, application development and support, and database management systems
Expert troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
Expert written and oral communication skills
Expert working knowledge of SDLC and project life cycle methods and practices
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures
Expertise in scripting, SQL, deciphering error and event logs, data analysis

Preferred

Five (5) or more years applicable utility industry experience
Comprehensive understanding of SPP's core business model
