Young Leaders Program Manager
The Heritage Foundation is a prominent think tank, and they are seeking a Young Leaders Program Manager to identify, educate, recruit, and train conservative student leaders for their Young Leaders Program. The role involves managing intern recruitment, executing programming, and fostering relationships with participants and partners to influence policy and develop future conservative talent.

Responsibilities
Manage a dynamic intern recruitment, application, and rolling hiring process, including reviewing and selecting 55+ interns per semester in consultation with department and enterprise colleagues. Work with Heritage Operations departments to seamlessly onboard each internship class
Develop and execute a calendarized template of recruitment fundamentals to ensure a consistent flow of qualified applicants
Coordinate and execute semester-long schedules of events, including welcome orientation, political philosophy lectures (Boyce-Haller First Principles Series), public policy briefings, professional skill-development workshops, mentorship opportunities, off-site trips, team-building events, and semester graduations
Build and maintain positive relationships with program participants and colleagues, ensuring a productive and engaging work environment and positive intern experience
Foster relationships with intern program alumni, coalition partners, and Heritage donors in collaboration with Heritage Development and Outreach departments
Maintain and grow databases for Heritage program recruitment. Attend, speak, and/or table at conferences to promote and recruit for Heritage programs in coordination with Outreach Department colleagues
Oversee the day-to-day work of the YLP assistant in completion of program duties and tasks
Provide weekly and quarterly reports, donor and program budget updates; manage and submit program invoices and expense reports
Qualification
Required
BS/BA required
4+ years of relevant experience
Strong writing and public speaking abilities
Microsoft Suite
Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department's goals and objectives
Must be organized and have the ability to handle a large number of projects at once, including both short- and long-term planning across multiple semesters simultaneously
Enthusiastic about facilitating both world-class educational programming and first-rate professional development training
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and require little supervision
Must be diplomatic and have excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated interest in and understanding of American political thought, the conservative movement, and public policy
Available for periodic travel on behalf of Heritage
