Responsibilities

Manage cases from inception to conclusion

Conduct factual investigations and research, interact with clients

Draft research memos, motions, briefs, pleadings and discovery

Research relevant case law, statutes and regulations

Prepare for and conduct depositions, argue motions

Conduct and manage all aspect of discovery, including e-discovery

Prepare for, assist in and conduct hearings and trials

Assist in business development and marketing opportunities

Required

3-7 years of civil litigation experience in the areas of business, commercial and/or construction litigation

Outstanding academic credentials

Experience in sophisticated, high-stakes litigation

Ability to contribute at a high level both as part of a larger team and by managing cases on their own from start to finish

Conscientious and responsive, with attention to detail while handling a large volume of cases and working under demanding deadlines

Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently, but embraces teamwork and collaborates effectively with others who have different styles

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate advice to clients and others

Strong analytical skills and thinks strategically

Ambitious, exhibits leadership and motivates others

Dedicated, with a record of academic and professional success

Excellent written communication and drafting skills, with experience drafting memos, pleadings, motions and discovery and an ability to produce concise and effective written work product

Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and be in good standing
