Senior Controls Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

Ensure plant and equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with the required standards
Troubleshoot and maintain advanced electrical control systems and PLC/DCS systems in a semiconductor production environment
Responsible for software programming of Factory Automation system
Support the new equipment design reviews when required to review the status of the machine design and provide input in reference to the plant's specifications and good design practice
Responsible for coordinating the implementation of engineering changes and assisting various departments with the implementation of new tools and processes and required training
Be an active mentor to other engineers and share best practices with them, including training on technical aspects of systems and troubleshooting, and providing feedback to support growth and development
Teach technicians on how to calibrate and repair complex semiconductor equipment
Proactively work with others to detect problems and implement solutions
Make suggestions to management for improving this position or improving work processes
Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures. Identify unsafe conditions or actions to management

Required

8 to 10 years of experience in supporting control systems in a manufacturing environment (including vessels, agitators, valves, and vessels)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Advanced knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including ControlLogix, SLC 500, and CompactLogix)
Advanced knowledge of various HMI/SCADA applications (GE iFIX, FactoryTalk View ME, and Ignition) and data historian platforms (GE Proficy Historian preferred)
Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting platforms
Advanced knowledge of machine communications via Ethernet/IP and LANS
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
