Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is dedicated to providing quality cancer care and is looking for Financial Clearance Representatives to facilitate financial clearance functions for patient evaluations and treatments. The role involves liaising with insurance companies and various departments to ensure efficient processing of financial clearance and clinical authorizations.

Responsibilities

Serves as a liaison between the organization and the patient's insurance company to facilitate and expedite financial clearance functions required for patient evaluation and treatment; creates and maintains records related to financial clearance

Serves as the liaison between admissions, authorizations, clinic staff, patient accounting and physician billing

Administers the clinical authorization process and resolves more complex clinical authorization issues; assists with training Financial Clearance Representative I's on the eligibility and benefits; reviews reports to monitor unit efficiency; evaluates problems and appropriately reports or resolves such issues

Required

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in pre-certifications and follow-up procedures or a related field; or

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park)

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in pre-certifications and follow-up procedures or a related field; or

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience Financial Clearance and/or Patient Access within the Financial Clearance Department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices
