Responsibilities
Provide safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the surgeon
Function primarily in the scrub role and be responsible for selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies
Possess knowledge in the application of sterile and aseptic technique and adapt to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting
Utilize knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, surgical instrumentation and technology as a member of the surgical team
